SENTIENT UNIVERSE
Creator’s Notes
For most the word “fiction” means something that is untrue, nothing more than a figment of someone’s imagination. Yet, again and again, I find more and more truth in works of science fiction than one can hope to find in textbooks.
Due to the nature of such creations, it’s almost never about the fancy gadgets or complicated concepts. It’s about human nature and the author’s willingness to explore a potential paths we as a collective consciousness might take if a variables are altered. Sci-fi settings are little more than boundaries set by the author in which a simulation is run - what would happen if…?
With the story of Sentient the boundaries kept moving until I found myself locked a spaceship and awake for years on end with no two way communications. Only contact with the world outside - an analog FM radio station that broadcasts non-stop and caters to the needs of the ones called prospectors, aka explorers.
In this world an emerging consciousness, a sentient machine called The Glitch has once deceived and then assisted humans to become something beyond our current recognition.
It has been a long road for everybody, and to make sense of it, an all inclusive encyclopedia of general knowledge has been created, maintained and shared freely with everyone - human or otherwise.
This preposition sets the stage for pockets of communities that do their best to cope with the turbulent world.

Sentient Universe Encyclopedia
Bits and pieces of the Sentient Universe in the form of sound bites.
Stripped from the minds of billions of people, fragments of knowledge from the people and for the people are freely available. These audio clips can be accessed via LINX or by visiting your local library. The information is incomplete and sometimes clips are fragmented. Some topics have been read in by volunteers and some are snippets off of news programs. They vary in quality and are constantly being updated. Creating an all acompassing encyclopedia after an apocalypse can be quite a challenge.
